BWAM Encourages City of Missoula to be a
"Bicycle Friendly Community"

February 2008

Bike Friendly Community

BWAM is encouraging the City of Missoula to apply for a "Bicycle Friendly Community" status through the League of American Bicyclists, which is supported by Bikes Belong. Having this community status not only celebrates what is good about Missoula, it also sets benchmarks for our city to strive toward and maintain.

BWAM sent a letter to Missoula's Mayor, John Engen, asking him to support the city's Department of Public Works in applying for the "Bicycle Friendly" status before the March 21, 2008 deadline.
